You're busy. There's work, children, exercise, cooking, grocery shopping, and in some cases, time to relax. So don't spend your precious time standing in line on payday. Sign up for direct deposit.

How does Direct Deposit Work?

With Direct Deposit, you authorize your employer or federal agency, like the Social Security Administration, or a pension, retirement or annuity fund company, to deposit your check directly into your DuPont Fibers Federal Credit Union account. The funds are electronically transferred through the Automated Clearing House (ACH). The Credit Union then credits your account for the full amount deposited and the transaction is reported on your monthly account statement.

What are the benefits?

  • It's convenient. You have faster access to your funds without waiting in line to cash your paycheck
  • It's safe. You never have to worry about lost or stolen checks. Your payment will reach your account the day the check is issued even if you're out of town, sick, or unable to get to the Credit Union.
  • It's reliable. You have more control over your money because your funds are deposited regularly and on time, in most cases, on the morning of payday.

How do you sign up?

Your payroll office or another payer, such as a government agency will ask you to complete a form to authorize the direct deposit and give instructions about where to send your payments. To have your funds deposited into your DuPont Fibers Federal Credit Union account, you will need to provide this information:

P.O. Box 72
Chesterfield, VA 23832-0001

804.748.9488 or 800.94.DFFCU

Bank routing/transit (ABA) #: 251082233
Your Account #: ______________________

For checking - This would be the 12 digit number next to the routing # in your checkbook)
(For savings - Provide 00000 followed by your 6 digit account #).

Direct Deposit uses the same levels of security that companies and the government use to transfer funds to each other so your money is safe with Direct Deposit. If you're ready to enjoy the convenience, safety and reliability of Direct Deposit but still have some questions, give us a call at 804.748.9488 or 800.94.DFFCU and one of our Member Service Representatives will be happy to answer your questions.
