Online Security

DFFCU has taken steps necessary to provide our members with the highest level of website security technology available.  All of our safeguards meet or exceed the industry standards for Internet security.

Network Security
The security of our network requires that all users have an Internet browser that supports Secure Socket Layers (SSL) and 128-bit encryption. SSL and 128-bit encryption protect the electronic messages during your connection.  The SSL prevents anyone from intercepting or viewing your personal information.

Home Banking
For the member's protection of confidential data, DFFCU@Home employs two forms of security: Dual Password/Pin Protection and Data Encryption.

Dual Password Protection requires the user to enter a second password, in addition to the four digit PIN, to ensure account information is not accessed by unauthorized users.

Data Encryption is a process which transposes the information which is sent from our server to your browser into a code that cannot be understood or altered without using a "key". The "key" deciphers the information from our server to be able to display on your browser. DFFCU is using Verisign, Inc. as the Certificate Authority to supply the Data Encryption on DFFCU@Home. Click on the icon on the log-in page to see our certificate or to learn more about Verisign, Inc.

Home Banking Logon Security
You are required to select a personal image and phrase that is unique to you. When you see your image and phrase, it gives you the security that you are at our real web site and not a fraudulent one.

You can still access your account from any number of computers. If you log on from a new computer or public terminal, you will just need to go through one extra step of answering a security question. This helps protect you by keeping unauthorized people from accessing your valuable information.

Bill Pay Security
DFFCU
Pay@Home, our bill pay service, uses several methods to ensure that your information is secure.

  • User Name and Password—Your user name and password are unique identifiers that only you know. As long as you don't share your user name and password with anyone, no one can sign in to DFFCU Pay@Home as you.
  • Automatic Sign Out—DFFCU Pay@Home automatically signs you out of a session if you are inactive for a predefined time (usually 10 minutes). It is best if you sign out immediately after you finish your tasks in DFFCU Pay@Home.
